Could a Super Bowl between Tom Brady and his former team the New England Patriots and former coach of two decades Bill Belichick be in our future? Former Patriots star Julian Edelman thinks so. In fact, he’s so confident this could happen that he put a $100,000 bet on a Patriots-Buccaneers Super Bowl.
There are many Super Bowl combinations that could happen, but if No. 11 has picked the right one he would cash in over half a million dollars.
Edelman broke the news of his major bet to his parents, who did not seem totally on board with his financial decisions.

His dad ended the phone call saying, “I’ll call you back, I’m not mad. I disagree. Bye.” All Edelman seemed to hear was that he was not mad, choosing to brush over his disappointed tone.

The Buccaneers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles, a team he has defeated and lost to in the Super Bowl, this weekend. The Patriots will take on divisional rival the Buffalo Bills.
