Aaron Rodgers recently passed Brett Favre as the Packers’ all-time career leader in touchdown passes. But unlike his predecessor, Rodgers does not plan to keep Packers fans waiting as he makes his future plans this offseason.
Rodgers, whose tumultuous offseason with the Packers resulted in an adjustment contract upon his return to Green Bay, said on Wednesday that he hopes to make a quick decision on his plans for the 2022 season. While he is signed through the 2022 season, Rodgers and the Packers are slated to discuss his future with the franchise at the conclusion of the season.
“I’m just savoring this year as much as anything, and it won’t be something that I’ll drag out for months and months, Rodgers said. “I’ll have conversations with my loved ones after the season, and with Brian [Gutekunst] and Mark [Murphy] and Russ [Ball] and the coaching staff and then make a decision at some point. I’m not going to hold the team back from anything. And once I commit, if it’s committing to move forward here, it will be a quick decision.”
